Algo Au

Algo Au is a dance artist from Hong Kong, currently making his mark in London. With a dance journey that began in 2008, Algo has trained at the London Contemporary Dance School and in international locations such as Berlin and Tokyo. As a performer and choreographer, he has been professionally active since 2011, contributing to various dance companies, universities, and commercial projects. His teaching portfolio includes prestigious studios like SDZ in Hong Kong, Base Dance Studios in London, and Artist Dance Studio in Tokyo.

 

His achievements include choreographing the championship-winning performance for the University of Hong Kong at the Inter-Varsity Dance Competition in 2019. Algo has also showcased his work in various space, including “Mythic 17” at The British Museum and his solo piece “Botany” at Whitechapel Gallery.

 

In addition to his solo endeavours, Algo has made contributions to the commercial field. He choreographed the “MIRROR FEEL THE PASSION CONCERT TOUR 2024” in Hong Kong and played a pivotal role in Keung To's and Edan Lui's solo concerts in 2023. His expertise also extends to TV, where he worked as a choreographer for ViuTV’s “King Maker” Seasons 2 & 3.
